Fast running spider. Wolf spider maybe? Quite small if so, probably no more than 12mm from front legs to back legs.

Odd looking, rounder profiled wasp. I don’t think there’s a large nest—because there’s very little traffic. Could it be solitary? It’s going into the gap between the weatherboards and the door frame. And I have observed another on the opposite door frame too.

They had been feeding on a path when I nearly ran into them and they emitted quite a different alarm call before staying close by (presumably waiting for the fourth one, which was in the undergrowth a couple metres away from me).

Interesting ground running spider. We found this on a bush track at about 400 metres above sea level. Love that green stripe!

Forster mentions a Pardosa goyeni, a "larger fawn-coloured spider with a distinctive yellow stripe" that lives in Central Otago. Possibly related?

Size: not as big as a Dolomedes! For scale, the brown leaves you see are from the beech trees.
