Are these both macrocarpas ? The tree in the first 3 photos has flattened leaves while the tree next to it in the last two photos is a brighter green and the leaves are bushy rather than flat but they both have those seed cones and similar furrowed bark
I thought this was a gum but willow myrtle seems more likely. Does anyone know ?

Can someone help identify this. The leaves are paired, have short petioles and hairs at the vein axis on the underside. The fruit you can see in the last photo made me think it might be a dogwood? As an aside, the software is displaying my photos sideways. It's a new phone but it looks fine on other apps, am I missing something ?

I see a lot of these trees with pinnate leaves and am trying to work out what they are (I also loaded photos of a tree right next to this one on a sidewalk in Blenheim) Is it an ash?
