I've been passionate about nature since I can remember so I decided to turn it into a career. I did my bachelors in biodiversity management at UNITEC. I'm interested in life of all forms but have focused particularly on birds, reptiles and plants in the past. I'm currently broadening my awareness and focusing in on the less appreciated or noticed of NZ's biodiversity. I'd like to specialise while having a generalist approach, what ever that means. So far lichens, ferns, mosses, orchids and fungi have caught my interest, accordingly I consider myself a bit of a botanist, for now.
