Tony Steer

I've been interested in wildlife from a young age when I spent my time collecting insects with an old school friend in Exeter, Devon - mostly still a lovely, rural, part of England. Nevertheless, many of our old hunting grounds have now disappeared due to the relentless pressure of progress and population growth - mostly memories remain! Since moving to New Zealand in 2005, I've enthusiastically joined the conservation community, initially participating as a volunteer on a variety of projects and more recently starting my own. I still retain my childhood fascination with invertebrates but have since broadened my interests to include all biodiversity making up native ecosystems.
