I'm an ecologist based at Lincoln University in Canterbury, New Zealand. I'm interested in weeds and the native plants they compete with and the insects that eat them. I'm also interested in documenting how nature is changing in NZ in response to changing land use, species invasions, and climate change. To do this, I obsessively make thousands of nature observations every week.
I'm also one of the founders of the New Zealand Bio-Recording Network trust that runs NatureWatch NZ. NatureWatch NZ began as a New Zealand optimised fork of iNaturalist in mid-2012 and we later became a regional instance integrated into the iNaturalist Network in November 2014.
I'm the site admin for NatureWatch NZ so if you run into any problems with the website or think you've found a software bug that needs squashing, please let me know. You can message me on NatureWatch NZ or email me via firstname.lastname@example.org.
