Hi, I am retired and live with my wife Trish in central Auckland. I work enthusiastically as a volunteer at Ark in the Park. The Ark is a unfenced sanctuary of 21 square kilometres of bush near Auckland, NZ. I have cleared tracks, controlled ginger, blackberry, gorse and woolly nightshade, baited with brodificoum, trapped with Belle-isles, Fenns and DOC200s, monitored for rats, invertebrates, lizards, and weta, and taken part in a vegetation survey, as well as helped translocations, and recording of kokako. I am a keen but unschooled member of the Auckland Botanical Society.
